I fjor høst blei vi kjent med Project Needlemouse fra Sega. Nå vet vi at dette er Sonic the Hedgehog 4 som kommer episodisk nedlasting til både Xbox 360 (Xbox Live Arcade), Playstation 3 (Playstation Network) og Nintendo Wii (WiiWare).

Jeg synes Sonic mistet litt av sin sjarm da spillet gikk over til 3D. Derfor er det gledelig at det nye Sonic 4 kommer i god gammeldags 2D, der Sonic høre hjemme. Første episode av Sonic 4 fra Sega kommer til sommeren 2010.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I will be available via download on Microsoft XBLA, Sony PSN and Nintendo WiiWare, bringing with it the addictive classic 2D side scrolling action that Sonic fans have been waiting for.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I offers sublime 2D gameplay through beautifully rendered HD environments. Fans will be able to speed through each level with the classic Spin Dash move, and destroy enemies using the Homing Attack. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I sees the return of the much-loved special stages and takes players through a variety of different Zones, all inspired by the Mega Drive era.

Each level from Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I is separately selectable from the main menu, making it easy for players to replay their favorite sections as they wish. Long time fans will not be disappointed as they rejoin the action and face all new intense boss battles against everyone’s favourite villain – the ever devious and evil – Dr. Eggman!

Denn uka kommer The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition til Xbox Live Arcade på Xbox 360. Og spillet koster bare 66 kroner (800 Microsoft poeng).

Gleder meg veldig til dette spillet. Det er vel over 15 år siden jeg spilte det sist, så dette blir nok et artig gjensyn. Jeg har vel egentlig aldri spilt det ferdig siden jeg bare spilte det hos kamerater som hadde PC. Men på grunn av ferie får jeg ikke spilt det på enda et par uker, heldigvis kan jeg jo kjøpe det på nett slik at det lastes ned når jeg slår på Xboxen når jeg kommer hjem.

En stilig funksjon i spillet er du kan både spille med grafikken fra 1990 og den oppgraderete HD grafikken i 2009 versjonen. Man kan bytte mellom de ulike grafikkversjonene mens man spiller. Under kan du se en video av de ulike versjonene samt lese den engelske beskrivelsen av spillet.

Det blir vel kanskje galt å si at jeg var en super fan av Monkey Island for ca. 20 år siden. Da jeg kun spilte spillet hos venner. Hadde jeg hatt egen PC på den tiden, ville det nok ha stilt seg litt annerledes.

Uansett gleder jeg meg stor til The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition kommer til sommeren en gang. Spillet kommer til både PC og Xbox 360 (Xbox Live Arcade) og er en oppgradering av det orginale The Secret of Monkey Island. Spillet vil være likt orginale, men med mye penere grafikk. Orginalen var i 320×240 og 256 farger, denne gangen kommer spillet i HD. En artig funksjon i spillet er at du når som helt i løpet av spillets gang kan skifte mellom orginal og ny grafikkversjon.

Men man venter på spillet, går det an å se repotasjen GameSpot lage  under E3-messa i Los Angeles tidligere i juni.
